Second event today done! At first I didn’t know what to expect because I thought the talk was gonna be what you put on to our blog, our platform, or what we share to people. I just decided what the heck with it, so I just attend my second #SMStyleSeries. I didn’t knew that we were gonna talk about Fashion, not just for women but also men!

Another great thing about this day also was they were giving complimentary drinks for the audience. The drink was Pure Nectar, a product of Fruit Magic Philippines.

In today’s talk, the guest of honors were two representatives who were a part of one of the biggest fashion magazine here in the Philippines – MEGA Magazine. I’m actually oblivious as to who the guest of honors were, truly but at the end I really liked them. Peewee Reyes – Isidro and Angelo Ramirez de Cartagena were our speakers for this talk. Peewee Isidro is the current Editor-in-Chief of MEGA Magazine while Angelo de Cartagena is an Associate Director and main handler for MEGA Man Magazine.

I have to admit I really loved our topic for this talk. The talk was about “Breaking the 25 Unbreakable Rules in Fashion.” And this is for both Men and Women so I was really happy with. I can’t actually lay out all the things we’ve discuss because it is so tiring to type it all but yeah I kept them in mind. HAHAHAHA!

But I there were 3 rules that we broke that I really love. The 1^st one was Men can also wear PASTEL COLORS, Angelo told us that Pastel Colors are not just limited for women nowadays, there are now pieces in pastel suited for men. 2^nd is that we can wear BLAZERS during summer, and that will depend on how you will layer it. Lastly, was wear more METALLIC PIECES, it can give us more essence of luxury in our everyday styling.

The 25 Unbreakable Rules was a tribute to MEGA Magazine itself, celebrating it’s 25 years of success. I have learned a lot from this talk, and I hope you guys could also come to events like this especially when you’re in the same platform as I am.

A lot of us know the basics when it comes to what is needed to capture the “perfect” #ootd, but taking it from an expert especially a renowned photographer - now that’s something.

After being taught and being in the presence of one of the most renowned photographer that I look up to – BJ Pascual – it was really memorable being in front of him, together with some influencers and personalities during his talk. Today – April 22, 2017 – I attended the #SMStyleSeries that features some of the most popular names to date, BJ Pascual was our speaker for today.

Each and every one of us who came to see and hear his talk learned something new, or just reviewed things that most of us already know. At first I didn’t know what the talk was all about I just decided to attend and see for myself. I was really happy that it was about how to capture the “perfect” #ootd, together with some pointers that could be used in photography. And me being photography one of my hobbies and also one of the courses I plan to take on, was really into what he was talking about. So all in all it was a great afternoon for all of us.

Another bonus is that I met some new friends and people. I met another avid follower of BJ Pascual, his name was also BJ so I laughed with him knowing that he too has the same name with our speaker today. Also I made another friend, he was currently taking on Fashion Designing at SoFA so I said “… I’m also a blogger, I just started out a year ago, but here. Still improving”, so he said that he’ll check out my blog and we should hang out some time again for other events. He also invited me to his upcoming fashion show, so I was really excited for it

I don’t plan on discussing what he discussed to us deeper, all I want to do is share the experience of having him give us pointers in taking photos of not just us but what we like also. And also it’s just so time consuming and I’m being too lazy to do so hahaha!

I will surely attend more of these kinds of events in the future. Hopefully, more to come!

Philippines can and will offer you so, so much. But out of all the places and things that it can offer, Vigan City is the location that I really wanted to visit ever since my passion for traveling started. Maybe because most of it is made up of old.

I know I can see and experience old heritage stuff anywhere, just head on over to National Museum then you’ll see artifacts and old paintings. But there is still something different for me when I was in Vigan. As a person that really and truly appreciates and adores design and architecture, being in Vigan was happiness. Every snap and every shot can be portrayed from modern to old, or maybe old to modern.

I’m telling you this now, you cannot leave Vigan without riding they’re Kalesa. I know that we can ride Kalesa here in Metro Manila, but it’s different there. The manong driver of your Kalesa is your personal tour guide of Vigan, so you will see just by then how progressive their tourism aspect is.

Calle Crisologo is the most famous place/street in Vigan because it is the most well preserved part of the town with all the heritage and design of the houses. One major stop that we did while we were in Vigan was visit the famous Syquia Mansion. The Syquia Mansion was originally owned by a proud Chinese Family – the Sy Ki Ah. The mansion was even more famous because half of its history was mostly composed of the lifetime of the 6^th President of the Philippines – Elpidio Quirino.

And guys, you should also try their homemade Empanadas. You can actually find them all around the city. And I promise you they are so worth the 30 – 55 pesos range. They are served piping hot and freshly cooked, paired with their Sukang Ilocos.

Vigan City is a town you should and will watch out for in the future. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a dose of old Filipino heritage. I promise myself to comeback, maybe with some friends in mind.
